What needs upgrading for ultra graphics on sc2?

None.

Hello

except for texture quality I have everything on Ultra, using NVIDEA GeForce 9600 GT.
(It was generated by SC2 itself, depending on the graphics-card the user has, therefore this probably will work for me)

So are you saying that I should get this NVIDEA GeForce 9600 GT?

None.

If you actually have a slot for the card, then yes. I however, don't have a slot on my motherboard for graphics whatsoever.

None.

I cannot tell as I haven't seen the results ingame. Also, a better card would be even better (No! Really?^^) x) .

I don't think the last 3 items are necessary. Just nice additions to your new computer... :omfg:

Yes, because a computer runs fine without RAM, HDD, or a drive to install the OS. :P (Yes I know of USB booting, ect.)

She isn't upgrading, she's building new. All of her current components are too old to be useful in a new build.

Does she not have a dvd player? I think you can reuse hard drive and dvd drive.

Small side question: does starcraft2 have dx10 capabilities?

I dislike IDE cables. Enough so that I'd sooner lose a testicle than use them ever again.

I really hope so. I mean we are on DX11 now.

Relatively ancient and inactive

I have a 2.5Ghz quad-core processor, 6GB DDR3 and a NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT. I think I can run SCII pretty well; do you expect a new graphics card (or anything else) to make a big difference?

None.

I'd think your quad would limit you about the same time as your GFX. Overclock and upgrade GPU, or just upgrade both. Then again, your resolution might not even warrant the upgrade.

To be honest, you're just fine with your current hardware.. I would only upgrade if you have money to burn.

Dude, you're not going to need anything extra. You're set Cent. I doubt much better would make much a difference in anything, except for things like loading times.

You must be kidding, with 1.74GHz you won't get that far in SC2, I guess a "Golem" map will cause you to hang.
