It's that old. 2004 my top of the line computer had a huge 80GB HDD. I've got a laptop from 2002(3?) with a 20GB HDD. I've got an ancient desktop from like '99 or '00 with a 10GB HDD.

Pentium E2160 @2.2Ghz
XFX 8800GS 384MB
2GB DDR2 RAM
7200RPM SATA 250GB HDD
Gigabtye DS3L
Windows 7 RC1. Need to upgrade that to release.

Am I missing anything? I don't think so.

I have a computer in my basement which has a 20 MB hard drive that is the size of a CD drive. The computer hasn't been hooked up for a while, but it worked last time I tried it. The computer also has 640 KB of RAM.

286 *yaaaaawn* :P

My 386 has 10/25 MHz, 40 MB HDD, 1 MB RAM, 256 kB VRAM and I can still remember how excited I was when we upgraded it: 240 MB HDD (more than 3 games at a time, yay!), 4 MB RAM (EMM386 games work!) and 512 kB VRAM. (VESA mode ftw.!) The battery is empty but apart from that it's functional.

But that was nothing in comparison the the 8086 we had. Green monochrome monitor, 4.1 MHz and a 10MB HDD which died after putting a game with more than 100 files on it. :'(

Dec 29 2009, 10:42 am ShadowFlare Post #15

BTW, the computer I was referring to above has an 8088 CPU. I don't remember the exact CPU speeds, but it was around 4.something without turbo and either 7.something or 9.something with turbo on. The computer has an EGA video card, supporting up to 16 colors on the screen at a time (out of a selection of many more colors) and resolutions up to 640x350. It was connected to a color monitor with a 9-pin connector in the same layout as a 9-pin serial port but with opposite gender, IIRC. At some point a Sound Blaster Pro sound card was put into it that was left over from upgrading the sound card on another computer. ^^ I don't remember what else the sound card might have been used for (if anything, just more games), but it was definitely at least used for sound on Commander Keen.

Just here for the activity... well not really

Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 3 (2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.090804-1435)
Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) Dual Core Processor 5050e, MMX, 3DNow (2 CPUs), ~2.6GHz
Memory: 1920MB RAM (2 1-GB Sticks)
Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8200
Motherboard: ASUS M3N78-VM
Internal HD: Max 238.5GB, Free 164.5GB
Mouse/Keyboard: Logitech LX710 (not too bad besides the fact that I lost it's software :C)
Monitor: Sharp LL-M17W1U
Resolution: 1024x768 (can't beat the classics)

IMO not too bad, a bigger monitor is all that I really want.

I am going to explain my computer specs to the best of my ability...

Operating System: Windows Vista
Processor: Not the slightest idea what it is, or how to find out. I'm probably seen it a dozen times but I don't know :-(
RAM: 2.5 Gigabytes.
Card: No idea, but it can run Team Fortress 2 at 4 FPS on the lowest possible detail setting, and League of Legends at 12 FPS.
Motherboard: Also no idea.
Internal HD: Max 223GB, Free 116GB
Mouse/Keyboard: emachines Keyboard, USB Dell mouse.
Monitor: Envision EN7220
Resolution: 1024x768

:rip: Stupid computer.

Thats up for debate.

8GB wouldn't be triple channel which is specifically why you buy an i7 platform. The 4670 isn't shit but its no powerhouse either. :P

Currently my only comp is my laptop, I do plan on building a kick ass desktop in 3ish months, but for now its:

2.3 ghz amd dual core
3 gigs ddr2 ram
8400m gs graphic card
250 gig hdd @ 7200 rpm
Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit

I surprisingly was able to play mw2 at 800x600 res at like 40ish fps. Still quite useable.
