There was a slight problem with my way of displaying the past. I fixed it, but now my trigger count is 38,042 and a file size of 2.32 mb.

So you are pretty much almost done, the biggest part remaining is the terrain, right?

I still need to do the actual spells. I've triggered the display of spells while in the past, but it will display nothing since I haven't done the spells. After the spells, I will need to do the terrain, so I can balance the terrain according to the spell classes / spells, then the start menu, and lastly, some final touches and/or things I missed.

If anyone has ideas about spell classes and/or spells please post. I don't mind if it's a complicated spell since I have a massive amount of triggers already.

i dont know if this is out of scope for your map but I think the time stop ability from SC2 is great. IF you had other spells that spew out projectiles then it would be pretty neat if you had a timestop ability to stop them. Even better if they could slow down and move forward, stop, move forward, stop...but i imagine that would be a BITCH to do. Whereas telling certain units in that loction to just stop or centering a loction on them and moving them to it would be cake.
Also i dont know if there will be summon monsters in your map but if tehre are targets that are minor as opposed to the heroes that people play with then you could include some spell that speeds up a unit's life timeline....pushing it into bones and ashes. Or vice versa send a player to infancty which temporarily stuns them?
Also since you can go into the past or future maybe this can be used to alter the actual arena. for exmaple if there was some crumbled terrain that is unpassable...you could go into the past before something crumbled and a path was blocked...and walk right through it.
OR something to do with speeding up the growth of trees. Either making tree walls to stop the other player or getting trees out of your way or something. I guess that would require a unit to be "Trees" becasue you can't move doodads...god how awesome would that be huh?
This one may be tricky but what if a player went into the past, before the battle, and set up traps....so when the battle starts the traps would be ready to rock the other player. It would wierd on how the players would choose the locations for the mines to go...it would have to be fast but iono.

Actually, it would be easier to do than you think.

The only way I could have summoned units for spells is if I controlled their every action(ordering and attacking) via triggers or their behaviors could change every time a player goes back to that point in time.

I like the ideas of changing the arena, but I'll have to think of a way to make this look professional.

oh yeah for sure man. Do you have any ideas? I mean rubble could be a burning terran building...or better yet a half built sprite.
Or maybe you could use a rock sprite with units under/around it and just move the units
Question is...if a player goes back to stop something changing in a battlefield...can another player go back with him to stop him or undo his changes lol.

Yes, players can go back and make repeated changes until that point in time is more than 60 seconds in the past then it is permanent.
Edit: I have good news! I reduced the trigger count to 32,641.

Wow, so I read this and am blown away. Serious props on this project. Not even professional game developers have made a game that incorporates multi-player time travel like this.
Like... Awesome. If I think of any spells I'll let you know. It just seems so badass already.

This looks incredible, can't wait to see it finished. I'm also happy to see that you've started with the triggering. A lot of the nice maps we see start out as all concept and terrain and then when it's time to do the actual work the mapmakers fall flat on their faces. I'm also interested in helping balance spell sets when you get those started. Good luck. =)

I am halting production until further notice. Life is preventing me from making this map. Don't worry though; it should only be stopped for a week or two.

Let me show you how to hump without making love.

Do I need to get the paddle out? I will.

No you don't need to, sir.
Life is more important though.

Aight. I'm done with starcraft atleast until the summer because a guy I like is going to ask me out and I'll have no time for games. I promise that I will finish this.
Edit: In case you didn't know, I'm a girl and not gay.
Are you cute?
Haha, no but good luck with your love life. Hope you find time to finish this because I was really liking the idea.
