If you could change history, what would you change?

Me, I think I'd remove the Mongolian conquests. The sacking of Baghdad and breaking the Muslim states into the relatively uneducated countries they are now, the breaking of Kievan Rus (which was ahead of Western Europe. ) and all that pushed Asia significantly behind Europe in terms of development, which led to Europeans later subjugating Africa, the Americas and Asia. At the very least, I'd really like to see the world map if this had happened and read Wikipedia articles about what happened afterwards. You guys?

I dunno.. personally I would not mess with History, as I'm afriad it would dramatically affect the present..

I'd have made AC electricity invented earlier. Like, roman/greek early. I'm curious as to what developments we would have if it had been invented way before.

The Mongols fostered trade, technological development, and peace within their borders. But like any government, their economy eventually collapsed due to "tax farming" and inflation by paper money.

Also, was Mongol-encouraged trade that spread the Bubonic plague to Europe. If the bubonic plague never reached Europe, the Europeans may have advanced less because there would be no change to remove feudalism (As peasants would still make up 90% of the population). It was because of the Bubonic plague that the class system in Western Europe changed.

Any event in history changed would change the world as we know it.

If I could change history I'd make it so that Blizzard's design of starcraft and battlenet was better, with fewer exploits.

That way I wouldn't have to deal with hackers EVERY FUCKING DAY.

Eradicate smallpox the moment it came into existence.

I would have invented a portable urine -> water converter so all those who have died getting lost and dying from dehydration would have survived.

Prevent religion in general, prevent corrupt leaders/politicians, and educate the people (Based on what we learn today) back then and have them teach the young, and repeat. We will have a very, very different world of today. We could, perhaps, to this day treated as year 3000 in terms of technology.

I have never read the book Dune. Why have you brought it up?

You could always wait for the urine to settle out, but I don't know how pure the water would be. xD

In Dune, the people on the planet Dune have there suits that recycle all water that comes out of your body for drinking water. Problem is, IIRC, urine is sterile. Putting it back into recycled water would just make the nutrients more diluted, plus it would taste yuck after a bit. Only way to recycle urine that I can think of is to add extra nutrients to it to make it more like water.

I would, hmm, make me born around the time of Christ so I could talk to Him. And maybe make computers invented earlier. And make blizzard not have warden fail so bad. And also stop those silly Americans that tested their nukes on Japan.
