Also, thx tank for giving zyn more motivation to update his hack so the current AH doesn't work( <<<<<<<< the actual Mr. Retarded Piece Of Shit you should really be mad at TZ)

No need to go after each other, Zynastor would have updated it eventually anyway, it's one of the last things he need to do in order to perfect Oblivion(although I wish he'd get the host refresh working again...)

Although, I do have one question for you Zynastor, how have you managed to avoid desyncing problems if an EUD turns up true for other players but not for you, due to your protection?

Oh, and by the way, I found a unit that your sprite protection and subunit protection doesn't cover ;)

That's done easily by patching the code that references the memory (function detour). If the memory was modified but shouldn't have been, you can just return the original (unchanged) values.

Iscript's playfram opcode is one of the biggest faults, but some others are at fault too (like imgol, imgul, etc. or anything that has an image or sprite ID). Although the fault address for when it crashes is usually in the image's drawing function(referenced by images.dat). Patching those instead of the iscript opcodes would be more tedious.

@ zynastor; If you want to get around the hack that sends constant join game messages, you can interrupt the storm.dll import SNetSendServerChatCommand and filter out more than one "/astat" for the same user. This will prevent those ipbans on Battle.net. It's caused by sending opcode 0x40 using SNetSendTurn (I don't think the public hack actually calls it directly though). (See http://vgce.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/docs/Blizzard/stormold.txt for storm ordinals and parameters.)

Actually I just found um... I think Epic Sauce is not blocked by this Anti Hack so really there may have been people hacking in my StarQuest games and I didnt know it.

Maybe in Starcraft 2 Blizzard will do it's job.
Right now I'm faced with the mind-numbingly stupid irony of the fact that if I want to chat with a friend on Starcraft, or be able to whisper friends during a reasonable length game, I need to hack and defeat blizzard's anti-hack. Because it punishes me if I don't hack. That and its just too annoying to log in after every single game. But really... hack and youre fine, dont hack and you disconnect. uberlawl.

Lol. That guy doesn't know anything about bnet i expect, and is a PR guy. Also Blizzard won't want to admit their mistake.

There is still one method Mr. Retarded Piece Of Shit can't block. It's really simple, too.

-Place a blinded unit for each player with a unit it can attack nearby
-If the blinded unit attacks the other unit, then the player is hacking
-Kill all of the player's units

I will further explain why this will not work. Maphack only gives vision to the PLAYER, not the player's units.

You can't fix map hacks or drop hacks. That is impossible. They exist in EVERY game.

You're the last person who should be commenting considering you make a habit of telling zyn of little thing that still beats his hack. You're 10x worse than tank.

You can, however, criminally prosecute people who disassemble your game. For some reason I get the idea you might find it less worthwhile if a couple of your buddies get put in jail for a few years for doing their best to ruin people's gaming experiences.

Disassembling a game does not mean ruining it. It's also very legal as far as I know.

I've been getting disconnected even more recently. It's wearing me down.

And that PR guy seems totally incompetent.

It needs media attention in some form (probably in a SC2 Q&A) to be addressed and fixed. Even if their response is "Well that's SC1, let's talk about SC2"

Even if he didn't, do you really think it would change anything Clans? Hell, if there was an AH method I thought Zyn didn't know about, I'd tell him myself. AH makers need to learn their place. They will never ever ever ever be able to beat the hackers. If you don't want hackers, you can go to ICCUP.

Another hacker sticking up for another... (also, I know the term 'cheater' or "script kiddie" is more technically correct for them since they aren't doing any hacking themselves)
Quote from Excalibur

Yes. It would give each AH a much longer lifespan. Hacks have their own life span of how long they work for.

No surprise there. A hacker must look out for their self-interest.

Except when they do.

The sword and the faith

I haven't been able to play SC properly on Bnet for the last 4 patches, and that isn't going to change anytime soon. It has nothing to do with self-interest, it's about the way things are supposed to be. Hackers have been winning this conflict since 1.13, and it isn't going to stop anytime soon. No trigger or sprite can defeat a DLL injection, and they never will.

You can't just say things like this and "AH makers should know their place" without any follow up. Explain why that's not only the way things are, but the way that it actually should be.

The reason I play Starcraft is Use Map Settings, custom maps which are not melee.

The triggers of Snipers Bald Locks which I copied to StarQuest defeated Oblivion up to [current date is 04-Sep-2009] rather soundly.

I dont have a problem with hackers and never will. They are good at something they should persue it. It is the people/person who release a hack/script to the general loser population, who has no right/brains to be using hacks, that pisses me off. All these "script kids" need to learn their place not the hackers or anti hackers.

"Script kids" should suffer the consequences and with sc2 hopefully they will. This is exactly why Bliz is trying to link your programs together. If your caught hacking/abusing third party programs in one game you will lose your privlages to all games. This Will eventually make Bliz more money so they can sustain their updates and monitering.

I disagree with your analasys that the guy who made the hack (e.g. Zynastor) deserves to be able to use his hack.

It's still a method of going beyond the rules of the game so that you don't have to think as much or try as hard.
Possible comparisons:
Moving a knight across the map in chess
Playing poker and looking at the guy's cards when he gets a beer
