I saw this film a few nights ago, and damn was it great. Even now, days later, I'm thinking about how much I enjoyed it.
Anyone else see
The Hurt Locker? I have yet to meet someone who wasn't blown away by it.

None.
I saw this on starz a year ago or so, it was really good when I saw it, I wish I saw it with someone though.
None.
How'd you see it on Starz? It just came to US theaters in June (after only being in film festivals in late 2008).

It might not have been on starz, but it was on a movie channel sometime last year, I remember seeing it in a hotel in canada

I thought he's working in a lab with some chemicals. Oh well, I should know better than to trust information posted on totse. >_<
The movie looks promising, DevliN. I'm putting it on my 'must see' list. Although some scenes from the trailer look very unrealistic in terms of how they work with bombs. Especially when he pulls those ropes and like 6 shells come out of the ground around him.
None.
What they don't show you is that he was pulling the wires/detonator out from each shell. I think the pulling was for a dramatic effect, and an overall "OH SHIT" moment. This film has a lot of those high-tension "is it gonna blow up in his face" scenes.
What I really liked about it, upon further reflection, is that it's a really objective look at the military. You have characters who are really feeling the traumatic affects of war, and you also have the characters that get off on the high of being in combat. And it doesn't try to tell you that either one of those responses is bad.
