I think these contests should be stopped for now - there's no more creativity left. In half a year, revive them.

schools almost over just restart it when schools over and everybody will be less pressured.

ya it kills motivation when no one else competes. Seriously, like every contest i enter in no one else puts up hardly anything... both modding and terraining...

competition themes should be more natural i think.

They provide more diversity, plus more people specialize in non-structural tilesets.

Rory takes the cake

It's over, rory won. There's no need to wait three more fucking days. This comp already lasted like 3 weeks and there's like two submissions.

How about making the competitions more open ended? That way I wouldn't turn my nose up at a topic like I've been doing recently.

the fun part about these is that there is not just one specific topic like natural, since we have different winners, we have different themes that we can try out and maybe even try new things. Personally i think too much of the general terrain done is natural, but i guess that means that more people like it and are good at it.

Ill think of a new topic, the contest is only going to last two weeks or a week and a half, it only takes like 2 hours to make a decent piece of terrain...

But i will start a new topic in afew days, it will be broad and it will be natural, if theres not a good turn out, i think everyone has lost faith and interest in these contests and we should suspend them for a long time

One thing about this topic I've noticed, is how organized Rook has kept.
I'd just like to thank him for making this one much easier to under stand than the past.
