Iskatu's mods are pew pew laser fun, that's it. Sorry (with Canadian accent).
That's going a bit far.

Mesk goes through a lot of trouble converting models from other games into a usable format, and nobody can deny that his work on AI is very impressive.

I kiss Iskatu's ass all the time, I;m just saying people only play the mods for the pew pew laser fun.

All other mods are boring.
WTH is this crap? Maybe you're just bored with Starcraft in general.

New comers to the modding community listen up! Ignore what you've read about mods being "boring". I'm going to take this time to list my 10 favorite mods and how GREAT and exciting they are to boost the shitty morale here! Losers!

#1 Racine AI. Racine AI is just pure magic. I will be playing this mod long after you kids are married and have kids of your own! :)

#2 AdAstras. Best all-around RT"S"concept and a total new experience. This mod could use some graphic/iscript/.dat work, but it's a fantastic mod and players like BroodKiller and ShadowyMoon agree. I love that it was designed to be a thinking man's game and not a pimple faced teen click fest. This mod is the closest to something my hero Sid Meyer would create! If you don't know who he is, then you aren't a "Strat" fan.

#3 STF. This mod is the best example of a solid unit based concept in which the CORRECT unit composition must be used for the intended scenario. The units and how they counter/support each other help create the best tactical mod ever. Every unit works in perfect harmony with one another. This is probably the most balanced mod ever.

#4 PM. How the *F could anybody say this mod was "boring"?? Are you out of your mind?

#5 AR. One of the best action packed mods ever. You better be ready for some serious shit to hit your doorstep and come from almost any direction. Almost any knockout punch waits around the corner.

#6 Tie between OR and GundamC. These 2 guys were pure artists and put a lot of work creating these .grps. SoW team are probably better modelers, but these guys did this stuff years ago AND made huge TC's. GC being more iscript intense than OR. OR being more polished. Prob the most polished mod ever built and easily the best buildings ever created hands down! Ash was a true perfectionist and DETAILS meant everything to him. He had the eye! Maybe that's why he graduated as an architect.

#7 Ultimate Doom. NOBODY has ever had such control of iscript.bin like the master that is BST. Ever see his avatar? Ya he's a math nerd I think! :) Love it.

#8 ITAS. Can you say big mfuckn explosions! Not the most polished mod, as Mesk obviously loses patience with "details" and tedium, but the best light show ever. AO looks to be his masterpiece tho.

#9 Zenji. Maybe one of the most complete mods ever.

#10 FUNGUSCRAFT! Why? Because ppl try to make mods too serious. Slapstick is always a winner. Bob the Overmind Campaign is the best. I don't find it that fun to play, but it still makes my top 10 for what it is.

... And those are some Exciting mods! Let's play them. :) What did I miss?

None.

Yup, I'm getting tired of video games.

I didn't really want to include AI mods in the term "all other mods", since I like to consider AI mods a different entity and a different art.

This mod -- for being an eco-based mod -- was boring. The game play was slow and dragged out, units traveled at a snail pace, and the results of having a huge space battle were unsatisfying.

Project Miranda? It was exciting for its time. I guess the mass amounts of playing it kind of killed the fun -- that and its for a wierd patch (1.14?).

No one plays GC because they're crazy. I hate these people for not playing GC. OR is pretty sweet too.

How could I forget the original TC? Yeah, this mod is sick. Its good. Its whatever kids are calling things these days.

What are we doing for the 14th[?] Mod Night?

I put forward ES'IR PRUS v1bb, only for the reason that I made it and would enjoy simply knowing others have at least checked it out to tell me "it sucks" or "it rocks".

I also put forward The Great Collapse, because I like it and think it's very fun to play.

Lastly, I put forward Etu Nimtsal [v2], because I don't recall playing it. Wait, no, I think I have played this before... Meh, still can't remember.

The mods I put forward have been suggested because I know those best, and because I think they make up for about 3/4 of the serious, finished mod projects on the first page of the Modding Projects forum.
Don't hurt me.

LOL. You think Etu Nimstal is a SERIOUS mod?

Personally, I like Brink of Oblivion.

I second this. It's time we play one of Hydrolisk's mods, he deserves it after all the hard work he's been doing recently. I think ES'IR Prus will be a decent play for mod night.

It's my turn to add to the fun! I'm leaving [MM]. I don't have the patience to create mods anymore, nor do I have the interest to. This clan is not what it was when I first joined, and I no longer feel that I want to be part of it. That should be enough of an explanation for most of you.

All of my work is completely open source. Corbo, remove me from the clan please (as I can't figure out how to leave).

I second this. Etu's selling point is the balance. I would like it to have more custom GRPs and such but it stands pretty well.

Damn, well, it's been fun having you in the clan. I can't say I blame you for leaving, though. You'll still come to mod night every now and then (if we get it back running) right?

Gawdamm. That isn't what I call good news... Will you still help out around with modding though? Are you simply not apart of MM? Or are you quitting modding? You know, I'm certain that's impossible. To quit modding is to quit the Internet, except that it's local, i.e. it's not possible.

didn't this already come up before? A clan is a blood oath. When you join, you join till your death. Even then you still are not saved.

Maybe this forum should be private then to only Clan[mm] members. Put the modnight topic on the main site and kick everyone out of this forum who doesn't belong or wish to.
