Movie maps aren’t exactly the most appreciated maps in the Starcraft community, or the most liked for that matter. But, I've always found something fascinating about them and always have since I first started watching them back when I was 12 or so.
Now there's youtube, but back in the far off year of 2001 there wasn’t really a way for people without the resources to manage a website to show their content on the internet. So movie maps where an easy and hilarious way to show some funny and creative ideas.
Although quite popular back in the day they've definitely lost their popularity over the past 2 or 3 years and they are only a few active movie map makers left.

The purpose of this topic, Is to talk about Movie maps, what you love and them, what you hate about them, which one is your favorite, etc. Also obviously, to post a ton of movie maps for everybody to watch! Most important though, to try and keep them alive.
I know I'm not the only one who likes them, every mapper from Mini Moose to Tuxedo-Templar has had a shot at the movie map. So come on people! This is all about the movie maps baby ;D

So to start off ill put links to movies I’ve already uploaded, but I’ll be uploading a lot more, including rare gems from the days of wayback. Also everybody feel free to attach movie maps to this topic this isn’t just about me it’s about everybody who’s ever had a chuckle at movie maps. This one is for you!

Also I'll try to use this topic as a way to talk about upcoming movie maps that are in the works, but enough of my droning text, here are some movies to start us out with!







Lost in Starcraft: The first movie I uploaded to SEN, It’s a movie about a Starcraft playing Nerd who gets sucked into the starcraft world and finds out that it’s not as much fun as he thought it would be.

Tux's A&O trailer is the best movie map I've ever seen, easily.

Also, "The Battle.net Experience" has been around for years, it's funny as hell.

StarSmarts: I'm suprised this one hasnt been uploaded yet, this is another great movie map about a gameshow with (Alexei Stukov as the host) thats full of quirky contestants and hilarity.

I made a movie map once to mock a mapping clan called D12).
I remember the set up was that they were all fags and they went to a gay club one night and then Backstreet Boys' Everybody started playing. It was lulzy.

A Goliath's Life: I gotta give props to creator RIVE on this one. Taking an entire uncut .wav file and making it sync up perfectly with the events on this map must've been a most tedious task. But it's worth it cause it's comic genius

Kill Me!: This is probably the most professinal movie ever made; to be expected by maker Tuxedo_Templar. When this first came out I thought it was the funniest movie ever...but watching it now I dont really find it that funny anymore. Regardless, it's still worth watching.

Are you okay, Torrasque?: Im suprised to see this one on the database. A very old movie map where players actually control the units. Its a weird one no doubt, but its a movie map classic. definately worth checking out
