Important News About
Blizzard Entertainment’s Product Registration

The new Blizzard Account is how you can register your Blizzard games online - and it also gives you the ability to download them* from a convenient online location. Here’s how it works:

* Head to the Blizzard Account creation page and sign up for a free Blizzard Account. At the completion of account creation, a verification email will be sent to your registered email address.
* Verify your registered email address by clicking on a link in the verification email. From the confirmation screen that appears, click the link to take you to Blizzard Account Management. From there, click the Games button on the right.
* Register your Blizzard game on the Games page with the CD Key that was included with your boxed copy of the game. The CD Key will be archived on your Games page for future reference. No more hunting for and keeping track of old CD keys!
* Download and play* your Blizzard games from the Games page of your Blizzard Account. You can download games to your computer an unlimited number of times.
* In addition, you can sign up to receive the Blizzard Insider, an online newsletter of all things Blizzard, during the Blizzard Account creation process. In each issue, the Insider provides exclusive, breaking news on Blizzard games, interviews with the Blizzard development teams, special offers available only to Blizzard Insider subscribers through our online store, and much more.
Blizzard seems to be following in the footsteps of Steam and Valve, finally. I'm very excited for this change. Definitely looking forward to being able to play games wherever.

Whoa, very nice. This means that I can only play games that are in my dl folder? Any that are or ever were hosted on starcraft? Or that have been uploaded to blizzard's dl database?

I'm aware it's somewhat outdated, but this is the first time I've seen it and I'm pretty active in SC communities, so I figure the same is true for others as well.
